The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well, but it's something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching a wide range of surface areas. robot vacuum cleaner best includes corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.
The device has a expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of advanced features. It is important to note that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to collect many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots had struggled. linked internet site of the robot were low and there were pleasant jingles to inform you that it was in the process of getting its work done.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
