Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual can get you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you want for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood although we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
linked internet site is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without using pads. Additionally the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with many additional features that distinguish it from. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great way of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
